Physiotherapy & pain management
Physiotherapy at Apti is a cumulative treatment approach to the prevention of aches and injuries, built to improve quality of life rather than quiet a symptom for a fortnight.
Physiotherapy can be more than just physiotherapy. It works best when it is embedded in a structure and a system. To lead the way in physiotherapy care, our core approach focuses on working on the source of the symptom and optimising physical movement by promoting, restoring and maintaining physical well-being.

What we treat
Low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, thoracic stiffness and the postural strain that builds from long hours at a desk. We assess load and capacity, not just the painful segment.
Rotator cuff injuries, impingement, frozen shoulder, tennis and golfer’s elbow, wrist pain. Common in overhead athletes and in anyone whose work is repetitive.
ACL and meniscus injury, patellofemoral pain, hamstring and calf strains, ankle sprains, Achilles and plantar fasciitis. Return-to-sport testing included where relevant.
Structured, staged loading after reconstruction or repair, coordinated with your surgeon’s protocol and progressed on measured criteria rather than on the calendar.
Assessment and graded rehabilitation following a collision, with the documentation your insurer requires and a plan that restores confidence in movement.
Cricket, soccer, golf, hockey, rugby and running. Treated by a team that has worked pitch-side at international level and understands the demands of your season.
Active approachHow we work
Physiotherapy brings the best results when combined with an active approach. After mobilising joints or the spine with manual therapy, or loosening tender muscles with trigger point therapy, the muscles need to be trained to actively stabilise those joints.
Good physiotherapy treatment is a prerequisite to a proper training plan and to enhancing the performance of everyday activities. That is why every course of care at Apti moves from relief into capacity — the part most clinics skip.
Common questions
Still unsure whether we are the right fit for your injury? Call (905) 780-3334 and we will tell you straight.
An initial assessment runs a full hour. Follow-up sessions run 30–45 minutes. Most extended health benefit plans cover physiotherapy delivered by a registered physiotherapist — bring your plan details to your first visit and our front desk will help you understand your coverage.
No. Physiotherapists in Ontario are primary-care practitioners, so you may book directly with Apti. Some insurers require a referral for reimbursement, so it is worth one phone call to your provider before your first appointment.
Low back and neck pain, sciatica, shoulder and rotator cuff injuries, knee pain including ACL and meniscus, hip and groin problems, ankle sprains, tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, whiplash and motor-vehicle injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, postural pain from desk work, and sport-specific injuries across cricket, soccer, golf, hockey, rugby and running.
A full hour. We take a detailed history, screen your movement, run biofeedback and workload analysis where relevant, and identify the risk factors driving your symptoms. You leave with a diagnosis, a plan and usually your first set of corrective work — not a printed handout.
It depends on the tissue, the injury and your goals, which is precisely why we measure rather than guess. Objective testing at intake and re-testing every few sessions means your progress is tracked and your programme is adjusted on evidence rather than on a fixed package.
We work with most major extended health providers. Bring your plan details to your first visit and we will confirm what is covered before you commit to a course of care.

“I’m very clumsy when it comes to injuries. I’ve been to so many different places but hands down no one can beat Ravi. His diagnosis and fix is right on spot. You won’t need to go any other place once you visit him. No wonder Ravi has so many credentials under his belt. My only gripe is as he is so busy you can’t get the appointment right away — that’s the negative when someone is so good at what they do. They also have a sports rehab. Ps most of my injuries are sports related.”

“Both my parents have visited Ravi and they find his services excellent! Earlier this year, my mom pulled a back muscle that was going to cancel her vacation plans. However, just with a couple of sessions with Ravi she was able to continue her vacation plans without an issue. I would recommend Ravi to anyone looking for a physiotherapist who knows what they are doing!”

One hour, and a plan you actually understand. Most extended health plans cover it.
